APEX Insight: As director of APEX Media, Maryann Simson will oversee the award-winning editorial team responsible for APEX Experience magazine and its multi-channel platform.

Maryann-Simon-250x250APEX is proud to welcome airline passenger experience industry veteran Maryann Simson as director of APEX Media. Simson will oversee the award-winning editorial team responsible for APEX Experience magazine and its multi-channel platform.

“After nearly a decade spent covering the passenger experience and aircraft interiors industries, I can say it is incredibly exciting to join Spafax as director of APEX Media,” said Simson. “I’m looking forward to working with the dynamic and diverse APEX Media teams in Montreal, London, Toronto, Los Angeles and Santiago to serve the APEX Association and IFSA member communities – and the passenger experience industry at large – with timely and relevant news and insights, across a multitude of media touchpoints.” 

Most recently, Simson served as director of Commercial Partnerships at noted industry outlet Runway Girl Network, where she created several highly visible integrated media campaigns. Prior to Runway Girl, Simson was the managing editor at PAX International in Toronto. In addition, Simson has worked as an expert freelance journalist in the passenger experience industry.

Simson will lead the APEX Media team along with Caroline Ku, who has been promoted to Managing Editor, and Al St. Germain, Spafax SVP and APEX Media Publisher. “I have known Maryann for almost a decade, and I am thrilled that she will be leading this dynamic and creative team,” said St. Germain. “Her expertise and industry relationships will be vital assets as we expand APEX’s information network.”

Simson will host the Crystal Cabin Award ceremony tomorrow evening at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg.
