APEX Insight: APEX and Reed Exhibitions, the organizers of the Aircraft Interiors Expo, have agreed to a long-term strategic partnership for the co-location of their fall events for the next three years.

APEX and Reed Exhibitions, the organizers of the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), have agreed to a long-term strategic partnership for their fall events, in coordination with the International Flight Services Association (IFSA). The events will co-locate for the next three years, in Long Beach from September 26 to 28, 2017, Boston from September 25 to 27, 2018, and Los Angeles from September 17 to 19, 2019.

It’s likely that the co-location will extend into 2020. “As we continue to select new venues, we believe this will continue for the long haul,” said APEX CEO Joe Leader. “We really have the same objectives for the industry, which is to bring more companies together. Three shows in one incredible event means three times the passenger experience, airlines, business and value for all who attend.”

APEX EXPO and AIX Asia co-located in Singapore last October. “We believe we can support APEX in raising the profile of the association within the industry,” said Katie Murphy, senior exhibition director at Reed Exhibitions. “If we could have changed anything about the Singapore event, it would have been that the shows were together on the same level,” she added. Leader and Murphy are planning to ensure that the events are located as closely together as possible in the future, on the same level, to make navigating the showroom floors easier for attendees.

Following last year’s successful co-location, the access rules for the shows will remain the same to welcome airlines across the three shows without restriction. AIX Long Beach exhibitors will have access to APEX EXPO and IFSA EXPO all three days. In addition, AIX non-airline visitors will have complimentary last day access to APEX EXPO and IFSA EXPO.

A wide range of companies has already committed to a presence at this year’s APEX EXPO and AIX Long Beach, including Acro Aircraft Seating, Avio Interiors, Diehl and Isovolta. APEX EXPO’s largest exhibitors include Airbus, Astronics, Boeing, GEE, Gogo, Inmarsat, Linstol, Panasonic, Rockwell Collins, Thales and Zodiac.
