APEX, IFSA and Reed Exhibitions vow to continue their strategic partnership, despite the decision to discontinue AIX North America, which was co-located with APEX/IFSA EXPO.
Reed Exhibitions has announced that it will not be running its Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) North America event next year. The event was previously co-located with APEX EXPO and the International Flight Services Association (IFSA) Expo.
According to Reed Exhibitions, the decision follows feedback that there is insufficient demand for a second annual event focusing on aircraft interiors. With this in mind, Reed Exhibitions will focus on its flagship event, Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, which will take place from March 31 to April 2, 2020.
However, Reed Exhibitions and APEX will continue their long-standing strategic partnership. Dr. Joe Leader, CEO of APEX/IFSA, commented, “APEX forged an incredible partnership with Reed Exhibitions via AIX. APEX/IFSA will continue that partnership with our full and unwavering support of AIX and World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo in Hamburg.”
“APEX/IFSA EXPO will continue strongly forward as the largest global airline trade show and thought-leadership event of its kind hosted in the Americas,” Leader continued. “We deeply appreciate Reed Exhibitions’ unwavering support of our efforts, as the fruits of our partnership will continue to serve and advance our entire industry.”
Katie Murphy, portfolio director at Reed Exhibitions, added, “We enjoy a close working relationship with APEX and IFSA and will continue to support these key associations.”
