JetBlue Swaps Trays for Carts Amid Transition to Zodiac Aerospace’s Space Flex Galleys

JetBlue Airways’ flight attendants will swap trays for carts to speed up its in-flight snacks and beverage service. Doug McGraw, the airline’s vice-president of Corporate Communications, said the switch to carts should cut service time by more than half, and will enable the airline to offer drinks and snacks on 95% of its flights. McGraw said crewmembers preferred working with the carts during a test phase last year, amid a transition to Zodiac Aerospace’s smaller Space Flex galleys, which allows JetBlue to add more seats to its Airbus A320s. Currently flight attendants take orders in the aisle and prepare drinks in the galley.
