digEcor’s USB Power Selected by Three Seating Companies

At Aircraft Interiors Expo, digEcor announced USB power options, including pre-integrated and retrofit solutions, which leverage its FAA-approved model list supplemental type certificate seat modification kit (SMK) for installations on seats from three manufacturers. The SMK is designed to reduce components – two spar-mounted boxes for single or double jacks and a USB seat power box that powers both boxes – reducing the installation cost and time for airlines, and preventing the seat box from infringing on passenger legroom. "Airlines can essentially introduce passenger power to their cabin with an overnight install,” said David Withers, chief executive of digEcor.
