Inadvia Brings Programmatic Advertising to Lufthansa Systems’ BoardConnect

Lufthansa Systems is following in the footsteps of Immfly and working closely with programmatic in-flight advertising specialist Inadvia to increase advertising revenue through its BoardConnect wireless in-flight entertainment platform. Inadvia allows in-flight advertisers to access the global digital programmatic marketplace, which automates the process of buying and selling media. Previously, it has been inaccessible to IFE systems because of the need for a connected environment, but Inadvia’s solution is able to work both on and offline.

Do Passengers Know What to Do During an In-Flight Emergency?

How well-prepared are passengers for times when their lives are at risk? The question has been raised once again after images inside the cabin of Southwest Airlines Flight 1380, which made an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport, showed a number of passengers holding oxygen masks over their mouths, but not covering their nose, nor tightening the elastic bands to keep the mask in place. Writing for Runway Girl Network, Marisa Garcia argued that while the National Transportation Safety Board does its investigation into the incident, “it may be time for a separate, dedicated study of passenger reaction and recall of instructions by human factors specialists.”
