Private Equity Firm Agrees to Buy Cobham

The company employs 10,000 people in more than 100 countries and supplies avionics products in every passenger jet made by Airbus. “We have worked intensively over the last two and a half years to focus on our customers and our financial and operating performance,” said David Lockwood, Cobham’s CEO. “This offer reflects the potential for future growth and improving performance, and is an endorsement of our turnaround strategy and our hard-working people.”

JetBlue Pushes Back Cabin Retrofits Because of Airbus A321neo Delays

JetBlue has been forced to postpone a project to retrofit its A321neo aircraft with new cabin interiors, but the airline still plans to finish the project by the original completion date. The airline’s president and COO, Joanna Geraghty, said the delay is due to the late delivery of 84 Airbus A321neo aircraft. The airline based its growth plans on the assumption that it would have 13 A321neos by the end of this year, but it now expects to have just six. To complete the retrofit, JetBlue said it would need to take aircraft out of service, something it can no longer afford to do with the delayed A321neo order.
