[PHOTOS] AirGo Unveils Modular Business-Class Seating Concept

Singapore-based AirGo Design unveiled a modular lie-flat business-class seating concept that it claims is the most space-efficient yet. The “Galaxy” cabin concept is designed to fit both narrow- and wide-body aircraft. “Typically, in business class, you have one type of seat, and they are positioned at different angles with respect to the access of the aircraft,” said Alireza Yaghoubi, co-founder and chief technology officer at AirGo. “We should have more than one kind of seat, we should be able to fit even more seats, by essentially using the wasted space.” AirGo is in the process of securing a patent for the concept, but it said it doesn’t necessarily plan to manufacturer the seat itself.
