Gogo and JTA Introduce In-Flight AR Experience

Gogo has partnered with Japan Transocean Air (JTA), a subsidiary of Japan Airlines, to bring augmented reality (AR) to JTA's flights. Using its in-cabin network, Gogo optimized the AR content for in-flight use, hosting the files locally so that no additional applications were required to partake in the experience. Passengers simply connect to Gogo’s network, click the AR banner that appears on their mobile device and follow one of the five AR stories on offer during their flight. JTA’s AR experience officially launched at the beginning of October.

The Correlation Between NPS and IFE

Hard product changes such as seatback screens yield higher increases in net promoter score (NPS) than process or service changes that involve frontline staff, according to Aer Lingus’ head of Consumer PR, Paula Donaghy.
