Delta Splits Boarding Process Into 8 Numbered Zones

Delta Air Lines is rolling out changes to its boarding process starting May 1, in an attempt to streamline the experience for passengers and airport customer service agents. The carrier will switch from "branded boarding" to numbered zones, with "Zone 1" including Delta One and first-class customers, and "Zone 3" for Delta Comfort+ travelers. The boarding order itself will not change, but the numbered zones aim to make the process more intuitive, especially for travelers who do not fly frequently or have a language barrier.
