Aegean Airlines Plans Premium A321neos With Flat Beds

Aegean Airlines will acquire four Airbus A321LRs with an extended range capability and a more comfortable configuration to operate longer flights. These aircraft will have additional fuel tanks, allowing for flights up to 7.5 hours, and will feature fewer than 180 seats, satellite connectivity, personal entertainment screens, and lie-flat seats in business class. Aegean CEO Dimitris Gerogiannis believes these planes will help the airline develop markets beyond the EU, such as the Gulf area, Africa, and parts of Asia. The aircraft are expected to be delivered in 2026 and 2027.

MAG Employs Veovo Passenger Flow Technology To Help Reduce Wait Times

Manchester Airports Group (MAG) has partnered with Veovo to implement passenger flow technology at its three UK airports: Manchester, Stansted, and East Midlands. Veovo's Passenger Flow Management solution will utilize 3D stereo cameras, LiDAR technology, and the airports' Wi-Fi infrastructure to provide data on queue times and flight-specific insights, such as dwell times and movement. This actionable intelligence will help MAG tailor airport services and reduce wait times, as passenger flow can vary significantly depending on factors like airline, time of day, and destination.
