Air France-KLM Orders Up To 90 Airbus A350s

Air France-KLM has placed an order for up to 90 Airbus A350-900s and A350-1000s, with a firm order for 50 jets and options for 40 more, scheduled for delivery between 2026 and 2030. The allocation between Air France and KLM or the breakdown between the -900s and -1000s is not yet clear. This order complements a previous one of 41 A350-900s. The new A350s will replace older Airbus A330s and Boeing 777s. These aircraft, being more fuel-efficient, support the group's goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 30% per passenger kilometer by 2030.

Air Canada Orders Up To 30 Boeing 787-10 Aircraft

Air Canada has ordered Boeing 787-10s to reduce its widebody fleet’s carbon emissions, targeting a 25% reduction in fuel burn. Deliveries start from October 2025. The order likely aims to replace the airline’s Airbus A330-300s, potentially making the fleet all-Boeing widebodies. Air Canada’s current widebody fleet ranges from 6.5 to 17.4 years in age. The airline has also canceled its Boeing 777F freighter orders in favor of the 787-10s. Upon receiving the 787-10, Air Canada will join a select group operating all three 787 variants.
