Australia to Reopen Borders for Citizens, Permanent Residents

Australia is planning to reopen its borders for citizens and permanent residents from November. Fully vaccinated travelers will be required to quarantine for seven days but can do so from home, removing the need to limit the number of international arrivals. Unvaccinated travelers or those without approved jabs must still quarantine for 14 days in a government-managed facility. “Australian citizens and permanent residents who cannot be vaccinated for example if they are under 12 or have a medical condition will be treated as vaccinated,” said a government statement.
