Aviation Panel Says SAF Will Do The Heavy Lifting On The Road To Net Zero

A World Travel Market ‘Future of Travel’ panel has concluded that Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), rather than new technology, will pave the way for net-zero aviation. As airlines face increasing consumer and societal pressure to decarbonise, a range of airlines are aiming for 10% SAF use by 2030. Currently, SAF costs anywhere between 2-5 times more compared to normal kerosene-based fuel. The industry, however, remains optimistic that costs would come down as production and use scale up quickly.

I very much enjoyed the two meals that were served on my two @CopaAirlines flights today. I was lucky to score two upgrades and be served scrambled eggs over hash browns for breakfast, and a salmon wrap for lunch. #PaxEx
