American Airlines Launches VeriFLY App to Validate Passenger Testing Results

American Airlines passengers headed to Jamaica from Miami International Airport can validate their pre-flight COVID testing status via the VeriFLY app, smoothing the check-in and travel process. VeriFLY helps passengers identify destination-specific pre-travel requirements and collect the necessary documentation for the trip. “The app will help us deliver a more seamless travel experience as we support demand return and put customers’ minds at ease that they are fully prepared for their trip,” said Robert Isom, president of American Airlines. As travelers enter each required element, the app verifies that the customer’s data matches a country’s requirements and displays a pass or fail message.

Boeing Bets Big on China

Boeing’s revised aircraft sales forecast anticipates 8,600 new airplanes valued at $1.4 trillion and services valued over $1.7 trillion to be delivered to Chinese airlines over the next 20 years. “While COVID-19 has severely impacted every passenger market worldwide, China’s fundamental growth drivers remain resilient and robust,” said Richard Wynne, managing director, China Marketing, Boeing Commercial Airplanes. China has been predicted to surpass the USA as the largest market in the world and, thanks to the COVID-19 shifts, hit that target earlier than expected.
