Frontier to Introduce Recaro’s SL3710 Seat on 156 Airbus Aircraft

A partnership between Recaro Aircraft Seating (Recaro) and Indigo Partners, which owns a portfolio of carriers, including Frontier Airlines (Frontier), will see approximately 32,600 Recaro SL3710 economy-class seats installed across 156 of Frontier’s Airbus aircraft, which are scheduled for delivery from March 2021. The seats will offer a 30% weight reduction – equating to a saving of 31,683 gallons of fuel per year – versus Frontier’s current offering, as well as redesigned armrests and larger tray tables. “Less fuel means reduced operating costs which translates to savings that we can pass on to consumers in the form of low fares,” said Barry Biffle, Frontier Airlines’ CEO.
