JetBlue Adds "Preferred" Economy Seat Fee

JetBlue has introduced a new fee for "preferred" economy seats located towards the front of the economy cabin, beyond its Even More Space seating. While these seats do not offer additional legroom, they are now subject to a fee for assignment, varying by route and being lower than the cost for Even More Space seats. This change marks a shift for JetBlue, which previously did not charge for standard economy seat assignments. Despite this being a negative change for passengers, it is seen as a logical move for JetBlue, given its financial challenges.
