A new deal will see Captive Entertainment, an independent film distributor to the airline and cruise ship market, handle over 300 library titles from Hollywood studio Millennium Media, including The Expendables, Hitman’s Bodyguard and Fallen films, and more.

Jeffrey Greenstein, Millennium Media’s president, stated, “Paul has been a great partner of ours and as content creators, we believe in the importance of people watching our films anywhere and everywhere. We couldn’t be more excited to have our films handled by Captive Entertainment in an effort to bring more content options to passengers.”

At APEX IFSA Global EXPO, Captive Entertainment will be representing some of Millennium’s newer titles, such as action films The Bricklayer, starring Aaron Eckhart; and Wanted Man, starring Dolph Lundgren. “We couldn’t be happier,” said Paul Poste, partner at Captive Entertainment. “We’ve had a long relationship with Jeffrey and his team at Millennium. We look forward to handling this amazing action-packed library.”

The company will also be using APEX IFSA Global EXPO to launch sales for 2023 American blockbuster film Sound of Freedom starring Jim Caviezel across the airline and cruise ship market. It follows the true story of a government agent turned vigilante who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue hundreds of children from sex traffickers and has accumulated nearly $200 million at the US box office.

“We took notice of this film quite some time ago. We feel blessed to have the opportunity to handle such a large film that has performed amazingly well and is now starting its international rollout,” commented Poste.

Michael Lavey, VP Distribution at Angel Studios, which funds, produces and distributes award-winning titles from independent creators, stated, “Paul and his team saw the value in Sound of Freedom long before most sales were done around the world. We are very happy with Captive’s commitment to the film and look forward to seeing it in-flight.”

Finally, Captive will be also representing two other Angel Studios titles: TV series The Wingfeather Saga and feature film His Only Son.
