APEX Media spoke with Vincent Tomasoni, QuiverTree’s VP of Operations, to learn about the company’s strategy to help airlines manage the challenging marketplace during the pandemic.

QuiverTree Media, a spin-off of Immfly’s content and advertising divisions, launched its content integration, advertising and over the top (OTT) services last week.

“Airlines have been particularly hard hit by COVID-19,” said Vincent Tomasoni, QuiverTree’s VP of Operations. “QuiverTree Media offers airlines the opportunity to benefit from high-quality content, with an updated, more efficient cost structure adapted to a new era where airlines need to optimize their budgets. QuiverTree Media also enables airlines to continue enjoying quality content propositions with an expanded range of fresh and innovative genres providing greater flexibility to reduce cost.”

QuiverTree Media plans to supply and manage a wide range of content modules, from standard catalogs to advanced integrations, working with more than 200 studios and distributors, OTT platforms and apps.

“In addition to enabling a multitude of global and local brands to extend their reach, at QuiverTree we produce exclusive originals like games, modules and unique audiovisual content to bring the freshest range of content straight to the passenger,” Tomasoni said. “We pair optimal quality with the fitting airline strategy.”

The company has specialist resources dedicated to helping airlines draft content monetization strategies and better manage their physical media assets. “Airlines welcome the additional income generated from advertising,” Tomasoni said. “Ultimately, the smart solutions QuiverTree Media provides enable airlines to benefit from an enhanced user experience, reducing overall costs and increasing revenue.”

The creation of QuiverTree was driven by the market need for increased specialization, according to Tomasoni. “We invested resources to create an independent media company where Immfly becomes one of the clients,” he explained. “Building on the strong experience of close to a decade in content acquisition from Hollywood majors and studios worldwide, combined with an emphasis on innovation, OTT platform integration and cutting-edge ad format commercialization, QuiverTree Media was able to stand independently with a strong, unique proposition.”

QuiverTree is supporting advertising for almost all of Immfly’s clients, including Pegasus, Ethiopian Airlines, Iberia Express and Air Nostrum, in addition to its own clients. The company expects to announce a contract with one of the largest low-cost carriers in Europe in the coming weeks. The company also has plans to continue integrating content and other brands into the passenger experience, including services from the most popular OTT platforms, and has some innovations and agreements in the pipeline.
