Determining which travel app to download pre-trip is an overwhelming task for many travelers, and one that APEX Experience contributor Jordan Yerman explores on his quest to find the ideal travel app in our upcoming August issue.

But finding the ideal travel app is no simple task and even the top-rated ones must be used in combination with several others to achieve an all-encompassing travel plan.

According to Yerman, “Airline, airport, taxi and transit apps are all limited to narrow slices of information and are unable to talk to each other.”

Sure everyone has their favorite travel app, but the reality is that you’ve likely downloaded and browsed through several in order to get all the info you need to get from point A to B.

Edenspiekermann, a European-based design agency, recently announced that they may have created a “one-stop shop” travel app solution. They’ve spent the last three years researching how they can offer this “all-in-one” app to passengers and make the air travel experience as seamless as possible. For them, the solution lies in what they call their Info Connectivity System, which brings together information from airports, airlines, public transportation systems and more. With all this information in one place, a passenger will have everything they need to navigate from security-to their gate-to their hotel. The app will also notify the passenger of any flight delays or gate changes.

Currently the app is in its final stage of development and, when launched, will be available in twenty languages.

How will Edenspiekermann’s app compare with Yerman’s vision? Read about “App High, Down Low” in our August Issue to find out.
