APEX EXPO Recap: The New Exhibitor’s Experience
Share

We caught up with some of the first-time exhibitors at this year’s APEX/IFSA EXPO to hear about their experiences on the showroom floor.
How was the APEX/IFSA EXPO?
“It’s been very positive… we’re relatively new in this market segment, and so we’ve spent a lot of time, emails, phone calls to reach out to folks, but it wasn’t until I actually had a physical presence on the floor that I actually got to meet [them]. And I have not been disappointed at all with the contacts that I have made.”
– Jan A. D’Angelo, vice-president Business Development, Adamworks
How is the EXPO different as an exhibitor rather than being an attendee?
“You have your own meeting space. You can schedule your own meetings and present your product to customers better. Ultimately it shows growth and how the company is evolving. This isn’t a cheap endeavor, it’s quite an investment so it shows health of the company.”
– Shawn Raybell, vice-president Sales & Marketing, Armstrong Aerospace
What’s been the highlight?
“For me, it was about being able to target the right customer at the right moment. We definitely had a few of those moments.”
– Yoel, CPO & Marketing, Silentium
“For us, or for me personally, the highlight is the access to the decision makers here on the floor, the ease of communication – getting to spend some quality time with folks and it doesn’t feel overwhelming… It’s a good atmosphere to really have some [great] business discussions.”
– Jan A. D’Angelo, vice-president Business Development, Adamworks
“The friendly people here that are exhibiting.”
– Ralph Wagner, COO, Axinom
“Not one in particular! The networking events are a good time to sit down with the friends that you’ve established at EXPO. You do your eight hours of work at the booth then you get to go hang out, put the work aside a little bit and focus on the friendship.”
– Shawn Raybell, vice-president Sales & Marketing, Armstrong Aerospace
Any feedback?
“I’m not one to be bashful when I think something’s missing or when something isn’t going right… but being here, I don’t feel like there’s anything missing. I’ve been very happy with showing up and being a part of the program. We will definitely want to come back.”
