If a plane were a time machine, which era would you travel to?
1969. I should have been at Woodstock, man.

First travel memory?
Running out of petrol on a moonlit night in my Dad’s car in the middle of nowhere.

Describe the view from your favorite window.
From my bedroom: The granite cliffs of Dalkey Quarry directly in front, and Dublin Bay across to Howth Head to the right.

Best hotel room you’ve ever stayed in?
Probably Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne, Switzerland, or Ashford Castle in Mayo, Ireland, or the Sacha Guitry suite in Hotel Metropole just for the sheer ridiculous size of it. I’ll never forget going inside to take a phone call in the first one and seeing three sparrows jointly lifting my freshly buttered croissant off the table on the balcony.

If you had the APEX editorial team over for dinner, what would you make us?
Margaritas.

You wouldn’t be where you are today without:
My car.

What’s the best seat on the plane?
The one I’m sitting in.
