APEX Insight: As this year’s APEX EXPO fast approaches, APEX Media asks airline passenger experience industry stakeholders to share their anticipated event highlights, their favored industry trends and their Singapore tips.

As senior Innovation Technology manager of Korean Air, Dante Dionne leads a team in assessing technology innovations that can be applied to improve the passenger experience. He brings 25 years of industry experience in global technology innovation, systems integration and management consulting to the position, and is also an Organizational Leadership PhD candidate and adjunct faculty member at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Dante DionneWhy is APEX EXPO a must-attend event?

What better way is there to learn about current best practices for improving the passenger experience? APEX events draw top-notch aviation professionals from around the globe to share insights in areas we are all tasked to champion for our firms. Combining multiple conferences – APEX EXPO, AIX Asia and FTE Asia – in one beautiful location should make for an incredible event.

What top aviation industry trends have you been following?

While our team is keeping an eye on many exciting new technology advancements, travel chatbots and conversational user interfaces, powered by artificial intelligence, are currently garnering significant fanfare. We hope to have more exciting news on this topic soon.

What do you look forward to most at EXPO?

While the educational benefits are always great at APEX events, making new industry friends and hearing how others are overcoming the same obstacles we face on a daily basis are what I truly look forward to.

     Your most memorable EXPO moment?

I will be sure to tell you once I return from my exciting journey to Singapore! My most exciting APEX event moment was getting to speak alongside some of the industry’s most distinguished leaders at APEX TECH in Los Angeles.

     Your Singapore tip?

I am very excited to say that this will be my first time in Singapore. Looking forward to experiencing and learning more about this great country’s culture. Especially the highly lauded local culinary delicacies.
