Crystal Cabin Award 2018 Finalists Announced

    APEX Insight: Twenty-four airline passenger experience industry innovations have been chosen as finalists for the 12th annual Crystal Cabin Award. Rockwell Collins and Airbus lead as finalists in four categories each.

    The Crystal Cabin Award recognizes innovations in aircraft cabin design and technology by aircraft manufacturers, airlines, suppliers, engineering firms and universities. The finalists have been selected from a shortlist including 91 submissions, with Rockwell Collins and Airbus leading as finalists in four categories each. The winners, who will receive trophies produced for the first time using 3D printing technology, will be announced during the Aircraft Interiors Expo at a ceremony on April 10 at Hamburg’s Hotel Atlantic Kempinski.

    The finalists will compete for the top position the following categories:
