This week, Delta Air Lines opened its newest Delta Sky Club at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), marking a significant milestone in the airline’s ongoing investment in premium travel experiences. The lounge, which spans nearly 34,000-square-feet in Concourse B, is Delta’s second largest and can accommodate up to 600 guests. The Sky Club combines modern comfort with accents reflecting Utah’s natural beauty, offering travelers a relaxing pre-flight experience.
Designed for Comfort
The new Delta Sky Club was built with one goal in mind: to create a calm space where travelers can work or relax. It boasts panoramic views of the airport, a wrap-around premium bar, and nine soundproof phone booths for focused work. Passengers can enjoy coffee, tea, or soda at two drink stations, along with a “Dirty Soda” unique to this location.
Delta Air Lines VP Delta Sky Club and Lounge Experience Claude Roussel emphasized the customer-centric approach behind the project. “Salt Lake City continues to be a key hub in our network, and opening our second Delta Sky Club at the airport reflects our deepening commitment to the market,” he said. “From the seating layout to the food and beverage offerings, every detail was crafted to deliver an elevated experience that makes the lounge feel like a home away from home.”

The food options include fresh salads, sandwiches, and warm dishes prepared on site daily, complementing the lounge’s open-kitchen design. The combination of food, flexibility, and thoughtful design demonstrates Delta’s growing emphasis on creating lounges that cater to the full spectrum of traveler needs.

The Sky Club’s design also reflects Utah’s stunning natural scenery. At the entrance, a patterned ceiling and mosaic floor look like sunlight shining on snow, while warm wood and copper details remind guests of the state’s mountains and canyons. Local artists added original artwork that captures Utah’s colors and textures, giving the space a local feel.
At the center of the lounge is Delta’s first Digital Immersion Wall, showing moving images of Utah’s national parks with calming nature sounds. Soft lighting, curtains, and sound-absorbing materials make the lounge peaceful and quiet, a welcome break from the busy terminal. This thoughtful design continues Delta’s goal of turning its lounges into experiences that connect travelers with each destination.

A Commitment to Seamless Travel at SLC
The new Sky Club in Salt Lake City plays an integral role in Delta’s partnership with the “New SLC” redevelopment program, which expands Concourse B and adds ten new gates to improve operations and passenger flow. The project underscores Delta’s long-term commitment to SLC, where the airline now operates up to 255 peak-day departures to nearly 100 destinations.
Travelers at SLC can also enjoy Delta’s newest digital features. SkyMiles Members using the Fly Delta app can move through security faster with TSA PreCheck Touchless ID, and Delta One customers have access to a new concierge-style check-in area. These upgrades show how Delta combines technology, design, and service to make travel smooth from start to finish.

By blending digital tools with personal hospitality, the new lounge supports Delta’s goal of improving every part of the journey. The SLC Sky Club adds to Delta’s growing collection of premium lounges in cities like New York and Los Angeles, each designed to be both practical and locally inspired. The lounge comes just months after Delta opened two new lounges at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport: a Delta One Lounge and a Delta Sky Club.
With its opening in Salt Lake City, Delta Sky Club continues to set a new benchmark for premium hospitality across the US airport landscape. The Salt Lake City lounge, like the two in Seattle, represents Delta’s shift toward creating spaces that embody a destination’s identity while upholding the airline’s global brand of warmth and sophistication. It comes as Delta continues to recognize that the airport experience begins not at boarding, but the moment a traveler enters the terminal.
