Eurowings is expanding its Premium BIZ Seat across its entire Airbus A320neo fleet for the 2026/27 winter schedule, bringing a more spacious 2×2 premium cabin to additional routes. Beginning December 1, 2026, the upgraded seats will be available on selected flights to Mallorca, Málaga and London Heathrow, as well as every Eurowings flight to Dubai.

Premium BIZ Seat Expands Across Eurowings’ A320neo Fleet

Eurowings will begin converting its Airbus A320neo fleet in November, with aircraft featuring the new Premium BIZ Seat entering service from December 1.

The new cabin replaces 18 seats across the first three rows with eight dedicated premium seats in a 2×2 layout across two rows, giving each passenger significantly more personal space. Eurowings selected the Comoda seat from Italian manufacturer Geven for the new cabin. The seat offers greater recline, a wider design, additional legroom, an adjustable leg rest and USB charging.

The rollout follows a market trial that began on the Berlin to Dubai route in November 2025. Eurowings said passengers responded particularly well to the additional personal space and more personalized onboard service, leading the airline to expand the product across its entire A320neo fleet.

“Comfort and relaxation in the air should never be taken for granted, and we’re making them the new standard for business travelers and leisure guests,” said Eurowings CEO Max Kownatzki. “With the Premium BIZ Seat, we’re among the first airlines in the world to introduce a genuinely comfortable seating experience on short-haul continental flights, including longer medium-haul routes.”

The Premium BIZ Seat will be available on several leisure, business and medium-haul routes during the winter schedule. From Düsseldorf, passengers will find the product on daily flights to Mallorca, four weekly flights to Málaga and up to 28 weekly flights to London Heathrow. The seat will be offered on up to four weekly Berlin to Mallorca flights and all Eurowings flights between Berlin and London Heathrow.

Dubai will be another major market for the upgraded cabin as Eurowings returns to the Gulf for the winter season. Premium BIZ will be available on every Dubai flight, including daily service from Berlin, four weekly flights from Stuttgart and three weekly flights from Cologne/Bonn.

Premium BIZ passengers will receive an upgraded onboard service, including catering, a welcome drink, a refreshing towel and nuts. On flights to Dubai, passengers will also receive a pillow and blanket, an amenity kit and meals served on porcelain.

The product will work slightly differently depending on the route. On flights to Mallorca and Málaga, Premium BIZ is included as part of the BIZclass fare. On routes such as London and Dubai, passengers can choose Premium BIZ as an upgrade to the airline’s existing Business Class experience.

Eurowings Moves Beyond Traditional European Business Class

The fleetwide rollout represents a different approach to the Business Class experience typically found on narrowbody aircraft within Europe.

Traditionally, Eurowings has operated its Airbus A320-family aircraft with a 3×3 seating configuration. Like many European airlines, its standard Business Class product uses the same seats as Economy Class but blocks the middle seat to provide passengers with additional space.

Premium BIZ changes that model by introducing dedicated recliner seats with a larger footprint at the front of the aircraft. On some routes, the product will sit alongside Eurowings’ existing BIZclass, giving passengers two different levels of premium seating.

The setup allows Eurowings to offer a more spacious premium product while keeping most of the aircraft in its standard configuration. It can be particularly useful on longer narrowbody routes such as Dubai, where passengers may expect more comfort than the traditional blocked-middle-seat model provides.

“While other airlines are adding more and more seats to their aircraft, we’re giving our guests more of what makes flying easier: space, privacy and an experience that feels genuinely special,” Kownatzki said. “That’s our response as Europe’s leading Value Airline.”

The expansion follows strong passenger feedback from the initial Berlin to Dubai trial. What began on a single route in winter 2025 is now becoming a standard feature across Eurowings’ A320neo fleet.
