JetBlue will open its first airport lounge, BlueHouse, at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) on December 18, 2025, marking a major step in the airline’s strategy to offer more premium, customer-focused experiences. The new space supports JetBlue’s broader JetForward plan to improve comfort and hospitality across the travel journey. Designed to feel like a warm New York City apartment, BlueHouse introduces a new chapter for the airline with an experience built for its most loyal customers.

A Lounge Design Inspired by New York City

Located in Terminal 5 across from gate 526, the lounge will be open daily from 05:00 AM to 10:00 PM. BlueHouse spans 9,000-square-feet across two floors and blends JetBlue’s brand personality with design elements drawn from New York architecture and culture. Decorative molding, brass accents, curated art, and residential-style furniture create a warm and familiar atmosphere in line with JetBlue’s aim to make the space feel like home. BlueHouse offers a mix of open seating, quieter private areas, and shared social spaces so guests can choose how they spend their time.

“We wanted customers to feel like they are stepping into a warm and stylish New York City apartment filled with character, where layers of JetBlue history and New York iconography can be discovered with every visit,” said JetBlue SVP Marketing and Brand Stephanie Evans Greene. “Just as New Yorkers bring their own personality into a new space, we infused the space with JetBlue’s signature style to feel homey and comfortable when staying in our House.”

The lounge celebrates JetBlue’s roots as New York’s hometown airline through locally curated art and a custom mural by Artists for Humanity. Inspired by the ceiling of Grand Central Terminal, the mural depicts JetBlue destinations as constellations, tying the airline’s network to an iconic New York landmark.

NYC Favorites Central to Food and Beverage Offering

Food and beverage play a major role in the BlueHouse concept and include offerings that celebrate New York’s culinary culture in a relaxed fashion. JetBlue partnered with Union Square Events to curate fresh daily selections inspired by iconic local flavors. Morning travelers will find bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches with New York cheddar, while afternoon guests can choose from New York classics like pastrami on rye or chicken caesar wraps.

The beverage program highlights New York’s craft scene with drinks from Joe Coffee, The Greats of Craft, Please Don’t Tell, Dona, and other local partners. Baristas prepare espresso drinks, while tea and specialty beverages give travelers more ways to unwind. Guests can also choose from local beers, cocktails, and artisan wines.

Customer comfort guided nearly every design decision. JetBlue sought to create a space that supports different travel styles while reducing the stress often associated with airports.

Technology helps streamline check-in, keeping lines short and helping guests relax sooner inside the lounge.

BlueHouse offers high-speed Wi-Fi, ample seating, and charging points throughout the space so travelers can work before take-off. A dedicated quiet zone provides a peaceful reset, while a game room stocked with JetBlue-branded cards, chess, checkers, and children’s toys gives families a place to spend time. There is also a photo booth where travelers can create a keepsake photo memento.

Loyal TrueBlue Members Can Also Gain Access

The opening of BlueHouse is also a major investment in JetBlue’s TrueBlue loyalty program. Complimentary access will be available to Mosaic 4 members, JetBlue Premier Cardmembers, and passengers flying Mint on transatlantic flights. Each eligible traveler can bring one complimentary guest, with additional guests available for purchase. Customers flying on Blue Basic fares are not eligible for complimentary entry or one-time passes.

Beginning in February 2026, limited access passes will be available for purchase for Mosaic 1 through 3 members, JetBlue Plus and Business Cardmembers, non-transatlantic Mint travelers, and annual BlueHouse members. JetBlue designed these access tiers to maintain a comfortable atmosphere and avoid the overcrowding seen in many airport lounges.

“BlueHouse is one of the most significant enhancements we have ever made to our loyalty program,” said JetBlue VP Loyalty and Personalization Ed Pouthier. “Our Mosaic members and Premier Cardmembers already enjoy elevated benefits every time they fly, but BlueHouse introduces a new level of recognition for those who choose to fly us again and again.”

The Beginning of a Larger Lounge Network

BlueHouse at JFK is the start of a broader lounge strategy for JetBlue. In 2026, the airline will open a second BlueHouse location at Boston Logan International Airport Terminal C. These investments align with JetBlue’s plan to introduce a new domestic first-class cabin next year, signaling a broader push toward offering affordable premium experiences across its network.

JetBlue President Marty St. George said BlueHouse is designed to feel “distinctively JetBlue” while raising the bar for hospitality. “BlueHouse helps make our flagship terminal feel more like home,” he said. “It is warm, comfortable, and elevated in a way that is distinctly JetBlue, with the hospitality and thoughtful amenities our customers have been asking for.”
