Linstol and Amphenol Phitek have joined forces, creating one of the largest headset suppliers for global airlines.

Linstol announced yesterday that it has added Amphenol Phitek’s airline passenger headset business to its portfolio. The partnership, which was established on April 1, means Linstol will manage and produce Phitek’s current headset portfolio, while retaining the Phitek brand.

“We plan on continuing to develop technology to keep the Phitek product as a leading-edge technology product in the airline space. New products will be a collaboration of Phitek engineering with enhanced Linstol production,” said D’Nae Woodruff, global brand manager for Linstol, which has been a supplier of headsets to the airline industry since 1993. “We see the Phitek brand as a strong brand that will strengthen and grow as we develop new products in the future.”

Amphenol Phitek will maintain its connector business, including headphone jacks, as well as its in-seat power and in-flight entertainment products. Linstol is responsibile for 100% of the headset business and future Phitek headset development, bringing to the table its expertise in production capabilities, supply chain proficiency and customer service.

Linstol is working with its customers to develop best practices in sanitization and is creating new products that will help airlines improve headset sanitization. “COVID-19 has the ability to change our industry and building customer confidence when returning to travel will be critical,” Woodruff said.
