Air Transat is to install the Bluebox Wow portable wireless streaming platform from Bluebox Aviation Systems across its mixed fleet.

Once it has received final approval from Transport Canada, Air Transat will install the Bluebox Wow portable wireless streaming platform from Bluebox Aviation Systems across its mixed fleet to provide passengers with access to free in-flight entertainment.

The solution will be deployed on a range of both narrow- and wide-body aircraft, including Airbus A310s, A321ceos and A321neos as well as Boeing B737s. During the 2019 summer season, Bluebox Wow will be available on board 17 aircraft, but this will be expanded to include 38 aircraft for the winter season.

“Bluebox Wow offers a powerful range of capabilities and we are excited to deploy a system upon which we can further develop our in-cabin experience.” – Dave Bourdages, Air Transat

“Offering a seamless IFE experience across a fleet like ours, with different aircraft types and some only joining our fleet for seasonal deployment, is a challenge,” said Dave Bourdages, VP In-Flight Services and Customer Experience, Air Transat. “Introducing Bluebox Wow across all of these aircraft resolves that challenge and will deliver the same high-quality experience to all. Bluebox Wow offers a powerful range of capabilities and we are excited to deploy a system upon which we can further develop our in-cabin experience.”
