PXCom and FPT Software have announced the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding aimed at advancing the next generation of in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) solutions. The agreement combines PXCom’s IFEC expertise with FPT Software’s global technology integration and cloud capabilities. By aligning strengths in areas such as artificial intelligence, in-flight connectivity, edge caching, and IT integration, the partnership aims to deliver more advanced and scalable technology solutions for IFEC platforms across the aviation industry.

Expanding Global Reach Through Local Support

The partnership reflects PXCom’s rapid global growth and the increasing need for stronger regional support as airlines introduce more advanced in-flight digital platforms. By working with FPT Software, PXCom aims to develop a more “glocal” service model that combines global reach with local expertise to better support airline operations. This approach is expected to bring technical knowledge and system support closer to airline teams while keeping the SkyVerse digital platform central to its long-term strategy.

PXCom CEO Cyril Jean said the collaboration comes at a pivotal stage in the company’s development. “As PXCom activity significantly grows on all five continents, it has become critical that our customers can benefit from local expertise tailored to our SkyVerse platform,” he explained. The partnership is designed to provide airlines with day-to-day operational support while maintaining access to centralized innovation and platform development.

For airlines adopting digital passenger engagement platforms, the combination of global scale and regional responsiveness can help accelerate rollout timelines and maintain service consistency. Airlines operating across multiple regions often require customized approaches to content strategy, connectivity performance, and onboard user experience. The collaboration is intended to address these operational realities by offering flexible support models aligned with airline network structures.

At the same time, the agreement supports FPT Software’s continued expansion in the aviation sector by adding in-flight digital solutions to its existing airline technology services. By integrating PXCom’s products into its portfolio, the company aims to help airlines connect onboard systems more effectively with ground-based digital platforms.

“This strategic alliance with PXCom aligns perfectly with our mission to bring world-class digital experiences to complex industries. By integrating our cloud-native software, AI capabilities, and system integration expertise with PXCom’s IFEC platform, we will enable airlines to deliver richer content, more advanced analytics, and a seamless passenger journey while improving operational efficiency,” said FPT Software Head of Aviation Technology Duc Vuong Anh.

This strategy reflects broader airline priorities centered on data-driven decision making and consistent passenger engagement across the travel journey. As IFC keeps advancing, airlines are looking for partners who can help better connect onboard digital systems with their broader company technology and infrastructure. The PXCom and FPT collaboration will support these goals through integrated technology frameworks and scalable deployment models.

In other recent news, PXcom launched its Sky4ThePlanet initiative, built on the company’s aforementioned SkyVerse platform, which provides tools that allow airlines to translate environmental commitments into engaging in-flight digital experiences. Through interactive storytelling and targeted onboard messaging, airlines can present sustainability initiatives in ways that feel relevant to the passenger journey.
