APEX Insight: PXCom has signed a major agreement with Bamboo Compass to provide a wide range of new editorial content to the Asian market.

PXCom has partnered with Bamboo Compass to add a series of Chinese city guides to its content catalog. Owned by CTrip, a website for airfares and vacation packages, Bamboo Compass is a website that publishes articles on travel in China. “Through this partnership and the innovation of our engineering teams, the companies we work with will be able to give their passengers access to a range of services depending on their destination,” explains Cyril Jean, PXCom’s CEO.

“CTrip … is sending a strong message for the development in the Asian market of in-flight entertainment systems” €” Cyril Jean, PXCom

Cyril Jean says the guides are intended for inbound flights to China and will be available in English and Chinese languages. “CTrip has confidence in PXCom’s technology and is sending a strong message for the development in the Asian market of in-flight entertainment systems in a geographical region with relatively low coverage by such content,” says Jean. The company is working toward enabling activity booking through the guides.
