This week, Qantas introduced a new First Class amenity kit created with Aesop for long-haul flights. Built around the generous provision of well-respected skincare items and thoughtful design, the kit sits at the center of a broader refresh of the A380 First Class experience.
A First Class Partnership
The new partnership between Qantas and Aesop showcases the Australian flag carrier’s renewed focus on detail in its First Class cabin. Together, the brands have developed three exclusive collectible amenity kit designs for passengers traveling up front on the carrier’s Airbus A380 flights.
The kits include 250 per cent more cosmetic product than the airline’s previous version, with full retail size items including Aesop’s Resurrection Hand Balm, Rinse-Free Hand Wash and Cedar and Citrus Lip Salve, as well as a 10ml Aesop toothpaste and 2ml eau de parfum fragrance in each one. Travelers also receive a blackout eyeshade, bamboo toothbrush with a reusable cap, and 3M earplugs.
Furthermore, Qantas has extended the collaboration by adding the Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash and Balm to its A380 First Class bathrooms, giving travelers access to amenities that feel closer to a luxury hotel than a traditional in-flight offering.

Aesop already has a history of partnering with premium airlines. A decade ago, it collaborated with Cathay Pacific on its First Class amenity kits, and has long offered curated travel sets built for different skin needs and environments.
Qantas International CEO Cam Wallace connected the updated amenity program to the airline’s broader investment in its First Class service. He said, “Our customers fly First Class because they value the quality in every detail. On longer flights, a fine dining experience, premium amenities, and complete comfort really matter, so we have focused on improving each of these areas.”
Over the past year, Qantas has tested new service flows, updated training programs, and refined how cabin crews deliver premium touches on long-haul flights. These efforts include the rollout of revised menus, redesigned sleepwear, expanded beverage options, and new wellness features intended to support rest on ultra-long missions. By linking product upgrades with service improvements, Qantas aims to create a more seamless and intuitive experience that feels attentive from the lounge to the seat.

First Class Dining and Comfort Receive a Parallel Upgrade
Following customer research and in-flight trials, Qantas has decided to follow in the steps of Fiji Airways and will introduce a dine-on-demand service, giving travelers more flexibility and helping them rest according to their preferred schedule on long-haul flights.
Creative Director of Food and Beverage Neil Perry, who leads the dining program, is bringing signature dishes from his Sydney restaurant Margaret into the cabin alongside new menu items featuring Australian producers from across the country.
As such, the menu now includes dishes such as yellowfin tuna tartare with gochujang and toasted sesame, roasted Wollemi duck with crisp Chinese greens, Margra lamb cutlets with shaved fennel and pine nuts, and Gran Torino Torta Di Verona with Amaretto and toasted almonds.

This new dining program is paired with award-winning Australian wines, an expanded cocktail selection, and a signature pour of Bollinger La Grande Année 2015 along with Pommery Cuvée Louise 2006. These updates reinforce the airline’s goal of creating a restaurant-level experience at altitude rather than a standard in-flight meal.
Comfort elements have also received renewed attention. The Aesop kits will be accompanied by new navy Qantas-designed pajamas and loafer-style slippers, giving the cabin a more modern and relaxed feel. All First Class enhancements are scheduled to be fully implemented across the network by mid-2026 as Qantas continues to build a cohesive, luxurious experience for its most premium travelers.
Qantas operates First Class on its Airbus A380 fleet only, which features 14 suites in a 1-1-1 configuration. The airline operates a fleet of ten of the type serving destinations from Sydney, including Singapore, London, Los Angeles, Dallas Fort Worth, and Johannesburg.
