Thales AVANT to Fly on American Airlines’ Boeing Dreamliner Fleet

American Airlines’ upcoming fleet of Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners will fly with the Thales AVANT in-flight entertainment system. American’s business-class passengers will have access to a 17-inch full HD Flex screen and Thales Avii controller that doubles as a second screen. Economy and premium economy passengers will have 10-inch and 12-inch Fit HD screens, respectively. Joining American’s existing fleet of Dreamliners, the 22 additional 787-8s will enter service in early 2020.

This award further demonstrates Thales’s commitment in supporting the airline’s ambitions to provide their guests the best onboard experience,” said Philippe Carette, CEO, Thales InFlyt Experience, who succeeded Dominique Giannoni in August this year.
