The Final Vote: Passenger Choice Awards

    Share

There are many reasons to be excited about the Passenger Choice Awards this year. Last week we announced the finalists in each category, noting the exciting rivalry between Gulf carriers Emirates and Qatar in no less than six categories, and the potential show stealer: Ethiopian Airlines which stands to win up to eight awards.

But this year’s award cycle has a new competitive element to it: APEX has called upon its members – industry leaders, innovators and creators – to cast the final ballot on the seven awards.

The new, two-tiered voting process offers the benefit of harnessing passenger input, and the input of industry experts. “We think a key benefit of the new approach is that provides an opportunity for our members to get more involved in one of the bigger programs that we run as part of the range of benefits offered by the association,” Green explains. “By bringing more of the members into the judging process I hope we’re doing a little bit to achieve that feeling of shared success.”

    How it Works

On August 21, APEX voting members will received an e-mail with instructions on how and where to vote. Voting will be open until September 10. If you are an APEX voting member, but haven’t received an e-mail, please contact Lauren Beneri at LBeneri@kellencompany.com.

    The Main Event

“I’d encourage everyone to come to the fabulous awards event that we have planned,” says Green. The 2015 Passenger Choice Awards will be presented in Portland, Oregon, September 28.
