For some APEX members, one word just wasn’t enough to describe the future of flight, so we reserved a little space online to share some of the lengthier, heartfelt and blunter responses:

The future of flight will be home.

“We believe that the gap between the home experience and the in-flight experience will narrow. With in-flight connectivity speeds reaching new heights, we want to bring our passengers closer to their media, their social networks and their data in the comfort of an aircraft. Our passengers begin the journey at home, and end it at home. The future of flight will be unified, familiar experiences in between.”

The future of flight will be a win-win situation (for airlines and passengers).

    €” Mark Hiller, Recaro

The future of flight is not yet imagined.

“The rate of change in entertainment, seat comfort, cabin ambiance and food is staggering and showing no signs of slowing down. The passenger is the beneficiary of this innovation and investment.”

    €” David Withers, digEcor

The future of flight will be vibrant.

“The reason I say vibrant is I think that it’s going to be a far richer experience.”

    €” Devin Liddell, Teague

The future of flight will be smarter.

“More flights, fewer emissions and quicker journey times; operating aircraft on the ground and in the air in a sustainable way to meet the expected growth in air travel – while making it more fun.”

    €” Martin Fendt, Airbus

The future of flight will be not good.

€” Anthony Bourdain, chef and TV personality
