Uzbekistan Airways Enhances Onboard Experience With New Tableware, Amenity Kits

This week, Uzbekistan Airways has unveiled a series of onboard product upgrades spanning both business and economy class, reinforcing its focus on comfort, design, and passenger wellbeing. The airline has introduced a new economy-class tableware collection designed by Kaelis alongside updated business-class amenity kits. Together, the initiatives reflect a broader effort to elevate everyday touchpoints across the cabin while aligning with modern premium service standards.
Redefining Economy-Class Dining With Kaelis
Uzbekistan Airways’ new economy-class tableware was created in partnership with Kaelis with the aim of marrying together thoughtful design with the airline’s operational requirements. The collection has a cohesive look that emphasizes comfort and feels closer to a meal at a contemporary restaurant than a traditional airplane cabin.
At the heart of the collection is the Briss Bowl, a clear serving dish designed to improve how meals look while standing up to the demands of frequent in-flight use. Its soft, rounded shape makes dishes feel more appealing, and the transparent material helps bring out colors and textures that are often lost with standard economy-class tableware. At the same time, the bowl incorporates stability ribs and stacking protrusions that support safe handling and efficient storage during service.

A distinctive frosted pattern adds a subtle layer of identity to the design. Inspired by Uzbek cultural motifs, the pattern is applied using advanced matting technology that introduces texture without compromising transparency. The result blends modern serviceware with the airline’s heritage in a subtle, contemporary way.
Designed for longevity, the bowl can withstand up to 250 washing cycles while maintaining its clarity and structural integrity, extending product life and reducing replacement frequency across high utilization fleets.
The Briss Bowl is complemented by two additional Kaelis-designed pieces that complete the collection. The Muno Bowl is a glossy white, square dish designed for items like salads or desserts. Rounded edges make it easy to handle while giving food a clean, simple backdrop. The Tuan Main Plate introduces a sleek rectangular shape and a pared back design. Its clean lines work well for presenting main courses across a range of menus, while the proportions help with portion control.

Together, the three pieces form a lightweight and modular system that optimizes tray space and simplifies crew workflows.
Enhancing Business-Class Comfort With Updated Amenity Kits
Alongside the updates to its economy-class offering, Uzbekistan Airways also introduced new business-class amenity kits in December 2025, just in time for the busy New Year travel season.
The refreshed amenity kits focus heavily on practicality compared with earlier versions, prioritizing quality materials and items designed to be reused beyond the flight. Color schemes vary by route, with blue and burgundy tones used on long-haul services and grey and black shades used on medium-haul flights.

Slippers play a central role. Built with thicker soles and higher quality materials, they are designed to be reusable rather than single-use. Each pair comes with a fabric shoe bag, allowing passengers to store their shoes or sneakers neatly during the flight. The sleep mask has also been improved, using a softer fabric and an adjustable elastic band to provide better comfort and light-blocking, which is especially useful on overnight and long-haul routes.
Additional items include a compact comb designed to double as a mini massage brush, along with earplugs and a toothbrush and toothpaste set. Together, these essentials support rest, personal care, and comfort throughout the journey. Another key upgrade is the inclusion of Aigner skincare products, with business-class passengers receiving travel-size hand cream and lip balm from the Munich-based company. Both products are designed to address dry cabin conditions, offering fast absorption, moisture, and protection without feeling heavy or greasy.
Last year, Uzbekistan Airways also announced it was improving passengers’ in-flight experiences on its Airbus A321neo aircraft with the addition of in-flight connectivity provided by Saudi Arabia’s Neo Space Group in partnership with SES Open Orbits.
