APEX FTE Asia EXPO: PXCom & Forthcode Launch New AI Efficiency Tool; PXCom Debuts Tech for Onboard Server Updates

PXCom and Forthcode are filling in the missing links when it comes to airline operations with the launch of nGO AI CoPilot, introduced this week at the 2025 APEX FTE Asia EXPO. The AI-powered system plugs directly into PXCom’s full digital journey ecosystem to give airlines real-time intelligence that can create more seamless journeys for passengers. PXCom also debuted SkyLink at the show, a solution that allows more flexible, cost-efficient updates to onboard servers.
Transforming Airline Operations with AI
The nGO AI CoPilot works as an intelligent assistant that helps airline departments operate more efficiently. It provides real-time awareness across airport operations, flight control, ancillary services, and regulatory compliance.
By automating data retrieval and connecting with core systems such as the passenger service system and crew rostering, the platform aims to free up staff to focus more on passengers and less on manual processes. It supports users via simple voice or text interfaces in multiple languages, and Forthcode believes it will help reduce delays, manage disruptions, and support on-time performance while protecting safety standards.

“PXCom solutions intend to cover pre-, in- and post-flight experience. For example, we have already successfully rolled out features enabling the passenger to start streaming at the airport and resume during their flight,” explained PXCom CEO Cyril Jean.
On October 16, 2025, Air India Express became the first airline to deploy the nGO AI CoPilot, branded as DAViX. The rollout has already produced measurable improvements.
Jean said the main benefits for travelers will include receiving answers to queries more rapidly and a smoother check-in as the result of better coordination between ground and flight teams.

PXCom Rolls Out SkyLink for Wireless IFE Platforms
Along with the debut of nGO AI CoPilot, PXCom also introduced SkyLink, a new tool for wireless in-flight entertainment (IFE) platforms, at APEX FTE Asia EXPO. SkyLink advances over-the-air updates for onboard servers, allowing airlines to perform real-time, remote updates anywhere in the world and removes the need for manual tools such as USB drives or laptops.
PXCom has long focused on automatic content and software updates for its wireless IFE systems. This led the company to choose 4G-equipped servers after a detailed evaluation process. The strategy has been successful, with 85 per cent of PXCom customers using embedded 4G connections for updates, 10 per cent relying on daily LAN offloads, and only 5 per cent still using manual methods.

Until now, most 4G-based updates had been limited to an airline’s main hubs to avoid high roaming costs. To solve this, PXCom created a software module that limits roaming to lightweight updates while keeping full content sync within domestic networks.
However, SkyLink removes this limitation. Built with ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance) and charter operators in mind, SkyLink allows on-demand server updates anywhere in the world through eSIM technology. Airlines can activate connectivity when needed, push updates remotely, and maintain a consistent content experience across their fleets.
“We had a customer with unscheduled specific need to update the Graphic User Interface of
our Stream4U Wireless IFE platform” said Hifly Inflight & IFE Manager Gonçalo ROMÃO.
“Thanks to SkyLink and the associated device provided by PXCom, we were able to meet our
customer’s expectations and update our onboard servers in less than 4 hours. SkyLink truly
brings lightspeed responsiveness to PXCom’s super flexible solutions.“
