American Airlines is refreshing its complimentary Main Cabin snack lineup with more sweet and savory choices throughout the day. Beginning on select flights in early October, passengers will see new options including Tate’s Bake Shop chocolate chip cookies and Peterson’s savory and sweet snack mix, alongside returning favorites such as Biscoff cookies and Goldfish. The updated lineup was developed using customer feedback and is designed to give travelers more choice during the inflight beverage service.
American Adds More Choice to Main Cabin Snack Service
American’s new snack lineup is designed to give passengers more choices when the beverage cart comes through the cabin while retaining several familiar options.
On morning flights, passengers will continue to receive Biscoff cookies, which American pairs with Lavazza coffee as part of its breakfast service. Goldfish will also be available in the morning, giving passengers the choice between a sweet and savory snack. Later in the day, Goldfish will remain available, while passengers can also choose Tate’s Bake Shop chocolate chip cookies or Peterson’s savory and sweet snack mix.
“Small details can make a meaningful difference in the travel experience, especially the familiar touches customers look forward to throughout their journey,” said American Airlines Chief Customer Officer Heather Garboden. “As we looked at our snack offerings, we wanted to take the time to get this refresh right by listening to customer feedback and understanding what customers value most.”

“This updated lineup brings together beloved favorites and new choices in a way that feels familiar, elevated and enjoyable,” Garboden said.
American also plans to rotate the selection over time based on customer feedback, with more options expected in 2027.
Snack Refresh Builds on American’s Onboard Dining Updates
The new complimentary snack lineup is part of a broader series of changes American is making to its inflight food and beverage experience.
During its centennial year, the airline has introduced new dining options across different parts of the cabin. Recent changes include centennial-inspired inflight menus and a new selection of California wines onboard.
While those updates have focused more heavily on premium dining and beverage offerings, the new snack selection brings another change directly to the Main Cabin experience.

Complimentary snacks may be a small part of a flight, but they are also a common part of the onboard experience. On many shorter flights, the beverage and snack service is one of the main food and beverage interactions Main Cabin passengers have with the airline.
By keeping familiar brands while adding new options, American can refresh the service without moving away from products passengers already recognize.
The change also fits into American’s broader effort to give passengers more options throughout their journey. Although the snack refresh is smaller than a new seat, lounge, or in-flight entertainment (IFE) system, it is an update that can reach a large number of travelers across the airline’s network.
