Inflight Dublin recently made four customer announcements involving Icelandair, SriLankan Airlines, TUI Group and Norwegian Air Shuttle. The content service provider will provide the full range of IFE services for each customer, from content research and licensing, to metadata creation and file encoding, to delivery.

Icelandair has selected Inflight Dublin to provide IFE content for its seatback screens fleet-wide, with plans to offer Oscar-winning films as well as a large selection of family-favorite classics and comedy and drama television boxsets. As the airline is Iceland’s flag carrier, there will be locally produced movies, television shows, audio albums and audiobooks in the Icelandic language.

“Our commitment to delivering the best travel experience to our passengers will be enhanced by offering the very latest movies, television shows and audio programming on our flights,” said Birna Osk Einarsdottir, chief sales and customer experience officer of Icelandair. The airline is also currently testing Inflight Dublin’s wireless IFE solution, Everhub, on some of its fleet, according to Matthew Jackson, marketing executive at Inflight Dublin.

SriLankan Airlines has also contracted Inflight Dublin to provide IFE content, which will be displayed on seatback screens fleet-wide for the next three years. The carrier will offer passengers a collection of Hollywood new releases, classics, international movies, television shows and a diverse selection of audio content.

“In-flight entertainment is a key area of improving passenger experience, and by working with Inflight Dublin, we will now be able to offer a superior level of service,” said Vipula Gunatilleka, CEO of SriLankan Airlines.

In addition, Inflight Dublin is providing IFE for four of TUI Group’s airlines: TUI Airways, TUI fly Belgium, TUI fly Netherlands and TUI fly Sweden. The content, which includes blockbuster movies, television programs, audio selections and broadcasts in eight languages, is available via seatback screens on TUI’s fleet of Boeing 787 and 767 aircraft and on overhead screens on its Boeing 737NG.

Lastly, Inflight Dublin’s IFE contract with Norwegian Air Shuttle for its fleet of Boeing 737 and  787 aircraft has been extended for three years. The content that will play on board one of the largest low-cost airlines in the world includes blockbusters, classics, Nordic movies, television shows and an eclectic mix of short programs.

“This new three-year contract emphasizes our belief in Inflight Dublin’s ability to consistently support us with a proactive and innovative service, and deliver the highest quality media to satisfy our customer’s entertainment needs,” said Boris Bubresko, Norwegian Air Shuttle’s VP Business Development.
