[PHOTOS] JAL Reveals Airbus A350 Cabin Interior

Highlights of the new seats that customers will experience as of September on JAL’s domestic Tokyo-Haneda route include massage chairs in first class, adjustable foot rests in business class and cup holders in economy class.
Japan Airlines has revealed what its Airbus A350-900 cabin interior, designed by tangerine, will look like when it enters service in September. JAL took delivery of its first of 31 A350s last week, but the airline has only just revealed images of the all-new seats.

The domestic first-class seat, developed by Jamco Japan, is 51 inches wide with a 180-degree wrap-around shell and sliding divider between the seats for privacy. Each seat features a 15.6-inch screen, electric recline, massage option, and AC and USB power sockets. The cabin will be equipped with 12 of these seats in total: two rows arranged in a 2-2-2 layout.
The domestic business-class seat, created by Recaro, is 18.9 inches wide with 38 inches of pitch. It includes an adjustable footrest, a storage pocket under the armrest, a 11.6-inch screen and AC and USB power sockets. There are 94 of these seats in total, configured in a 2-4-2 layout.
The economy-class seat, also by Recaro, has 31 inches of pitch. Each one is equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen, adjustable headrest, cup holder and AC and USB power sockets. There are 263 economy seats in a 3-3-3 layout.
JAL’s A350-900 will begin operating the airline’s domestic route between Tokyo and Haneda. Domestic first class is what most countries, including the US, would categorize as business class, while domestic business class is more in line with international premium economy. The airline’s A350-1000s, which it will being receiving in 2023, will also operate international routes.
