China Southern has selected Recaro’s CL3710 seat for economy class on its A350-900 fleet.

APEX Insight: Recaro Aircraft Seating announced several orders this week during Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg. APEX Media spoke with Mark Hiller, CEO of Recaro Aircraft Seating, to learn about the German company’s innovative approach to seat manufacturing in the aviation industry.

Recaro today announced that China Southern has selected Recaro to provide seats for all classes of its all-new A350-900 fleet. The order includes the CL6710 lightweight seat for business class, the PL3530 seat for premium economy class and the CL3710 seat for economy class. This marks the first time the new A350 aircraft will be equipped with Recaro’s CL6710 business-class seat.

Peach, a Japanese airline and subsidiary of ANA Holdings, has ordered Recaro’s SL3510 lightweight seat for 14 aircraft, the seat manufacturer announced yesterday. The SL3510, which weighs under nine kilograms, will be deployed in the airline’s Airbus A320ceo and Airbus A320neo economy-class cabins in early 2019. “The fact that over 125,000 seats of this model have been sold worldwide confirms its significant benefits in terms of economy and reliability,” said Mark Hiller, CEO of Recaro Aircraft Seating.

Earlier this week, Recaro announced that it will equip WOW air’s Airbus fleet with around 100 CL4400 business-class seats and SpiceJet’s B737MAX aircraft with 10,000 BL3530Smart economy-class seats for short and medium-haul routes.
