72nd Golden Globes Wrap-Up

Last night’s star-studded Golden Globe Awards more than lived up to their unofficial title as Hollywood’s award-season “party of the year” and we’ve got the tweets to prove it.

This being their final go-around as hosts, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler poked good-natured fun at many of Hollywood’s “sacred cows” in attendance, but, for the most part this year’s Globes telecast was much more heartfelt than zany.

And this year, it wasn’t just the acceptance speeches that were emotional.

But at the end of the night, the Golden Globes mantra, as always, boiled down to one word: fun!

So, until next year, congrats to the big winners – especially the teams behind IFC’s Boyhood and Fox Searchlight’s The Grand Budapest Hotel, which took home Globes for Best Motion Picture Drama and Best Motion Picture Musical/Comedy, respectively – and we’ll see the rest of you at that non-winners breakfast buffet presenters Katie Holmes and Seth Meyers joked about early on in the broadcast.
