Air India has introduced new amenity kits and loungewear for passengers on select international flights, featuring Forest Essentials skincare products and designs inspired by traditional Indian art. The First and Business Class kits include a handcrafted wooden Ayurvedic Marma massager, which the airline describes as a first for airline amenity kits. The carrier began rolling out the products in October 2026 on international flights longer than eight hours and overnight flights longer than six hours.
New Amenity Kits Feature Forest Essentials Products
Made from 100% natural wood, the Marma massager draws inspiration from a traditional Indian wellness practice that involves applying pressure to specific points on the body to encourage relaxation. Each massager comes with a story card explaining the practice and its connection to Indian wellness traditions.
First Class passengers receive amenity kits from The Art of Flight collection, featuring original artwork by Gond artist Dwarka Paraste. His designs use detailed patterns to represent nature, movement, and discovery.
Passengers departing India receive Ivory Cream kits, while those arriving in the country receive Antique White versions. Air India plans to update the artwork and colors every six months, allowing passengers to collect different designs.

Each First Class kit includes Forest Essentials Light Day Lotion with SPF 30, Facial Tonic Mist, Lip Cream, Ultra-Rich Body Milk, and perfume, presented in a satin pouch. Passengers also receive socks, an eye mask, earplugs, a dental kit, a hair tie, and a story card explaining the artwork.
In Business Class, the airline has introduced the Navratna Collection, inspired by the nine traditional gems of Indian culture. The collection features Jharoka-shaped bags made from premium polyurethane leather. Passengers departing India receive Coral-colored kits, while those arriving in the country receive Ruby-colored versions.
Business Class passengers receive Forest Essentials Lip Cream, Ultra-Rich Body Milk, and perfume, along with socks, an eye mask, earplugs, a dental kit, a hair tie, and a story card.
For Premium Economy passengers, Air India has introduced updated amenity kits featuring reusable Air India-branded bags. Each kit contains hand cream and lip balm from The Indian Apothecary, socks, an eye mask, and a story card.
Loungewear Draws Inspiration From Indian Traditions
The airline’s new First and Business Class loungewear draws inspiration from traditional Kullu shawls from Himachal Pradesh in northern India. The gender-neutral collection features soft fabric, a relaxed fit, and geometric patterns based on the region’s weaving traditions.
The Henley-style top incorporates these patterns along the placket and hem, while the bottoms feature similar details along the drawstring and side placket. The clothing includes subtle Air India branding.

The loungewear comes in four sizes, including a new XXL option. Each set includes a specially designed carry bag and a story card explaining the history of Kullu shawl weaving. Air India has also changed its carpet slippers from gray to beige to complement the new loungewear.
Air India Chief Customer Experience Officer Rajesh Dogra said the new amenities reflect the airline’s efforts to bring more elements of Indian culture into the passenger experience. “At Air India, every element of the journey is an opportunity to make our guests feel cared for, comfortable and connected to the warmth of India,” Dogra said.
The announcement follows Air India’s recent introduction of restaurant-style Business Class dining on select long-haul international flights, featuring individually plated courses, linen-covered tables, and personalized service.
