airBaltic has started rolling out a new in-seat ordering service that allows passengers to purchase food and beverages directly from their personal devices through the airline’s Skynet onboard portal. The new Skynet airCafe feature lets travelers browse the onboard menu, check product availability and prices in real time, pay digitally, and have cabin crew deliver orders directly to their seats. The Latvian airline is introducing the service gradually on Starlink-equipped aircraft, starting with short- and medium-haul flights.

Skynet airCafe Gives Passengers More Control Over Onboard Purchases

Passengers can access Skynet airCafe by connecting to the aircraft’s Starlink Wi-Fi and opening the Skynet home page. They can reach the ordering platform through the airBaltic app or by scanning a QR code in the airline’s Baltic Outlook inflight magazine.

Through the digital menu, travelers can browse food and beverage options, view prices, and explore special offers, including discounts on selected fresh food products. Real-time availability information helps passengers see which items remain in stock before placing their orders, reducing the uncertainty of choosing products that may have sold out.

Once passengers select their products, they can add items to their baskets, adjust quantities, or remove products before confirming their purchases. They can then track their orders from confirmation through delivery, while cabin crew bring the selected items directly to their seats.

For payment, airBaltic accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, payment cards, and bank links. Passengers receive digital receipts by email, giving them a record of their onboard purchases.

airBaltic Club members can earn points on eligible purchases through Skynet airCafe. Members who access the service through the airBaltic app can receive a 10% discount on hot and soft drinks, bringing the airline’s loyalty benefits into the onboard ordering experience.

airBaltic Expands Its Skynet Portal With In-Seat Ordering

airBaltic has not announced a completion date for the Skynet airCafe rollout. The airline plans to expand the service across different flight groups as it introduces the feature on Starlink-equipped aircraft.

Skynet airCafe builds on the onboard portal airBaltic introduced at the end of March 2026. The platform gives passengers access to flight information, live flight tracking, destination details, onboard shopping, and special offers.

With the addition of in-seat ordering, airBaltic is expanding Skynet beyond flight information and shopping to include food and beverage purchases. The new feature connects the airline’s onboard catering service with its digital platform while cabin crew continue handling order delivery.

airBaltic introduced complimentary Starlink connectivity in 2025, providing the internet connection that supports its onboard digital services. Skynet airCafe gives the airline another way to use that connectivity, extending the role of passengers’ personal devices from accessing flight information to purchasing refreshments during their journeys.
