easyJet will introduce inflight Wi-Fi for the first time through a new partnership with Starlink, with installations beginning across its Airbus A320-family fleet in the first half of 2027. Passengers will be able to stream, game, browse, and access travel information on their own devices, with the airline targeting completion of the rollout by early 2028. The move brings high-speed connectivity to easyJet’s short-haul network across Europe.
Starlink Brings Connectivity Across the easyJet Fleet
easyJet plans to deploy Starlink across its A320, A320neo, and A321neo aircraft, giving passengers access to high-speed internet across much of its European network. The airline carried 100 million passengers in 2025 and operates more than 350 aircraft across more than 1,200 routes. Once completed, easyJet expects Starlink connectivity across its eligible A320-family fleet.
Starlink uses a low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite network to provide high-speed, low-latency connectivity. Passengers will be able to stream entertainment, play online games, browse the web, and stay connected using their own devices throughout the flight.

“In an increasingly digital world, staying connected matters more than ever to many of our customers, whether that’s holidaymakers looking to unwind with inflight entertainment, or our business customers keeping up to speed with what’s happening on the ground,” said easyJet CEO Kenton Jarvis.
The service will support both leisure and business passengers. Leisure travelers can stream content or research their destination during the flight, while business travelers can stay connected to work and information on the ground.
Connectivity Gives Passengers More Choice
The new service will connect passengers with easyJet’s own digital channels while they are in the air. Travelers will be able to check their flight status through the easyJet app and website and look up information about their destination, including local weather, transportation, and tourism options.
easyJet said the technology could eventually allow passengers to order directly from the inflight menu from their seats. The airline has not announced when the feature could launch.
For passengers, the immediate change is greater control over how they spend a short-haul flight. Travelers can use the devices they already carry for entertainment, work, trip planning, or staying in touch rather than relying on content downloaded before departure.
“Giving customers the opportunity to get online in the air will mean even greater choice and convenience when you fly with easyJet,” Jarvis said. “Ultimately, it’s yet another way we’re making travel easy.”
For easyJet, the rollout adds a new onboard service across a large narrowbody fleet without requiring seatback entertainment systems. Passengers will continue using their own phones, tablets, and laptops to access connectivity and digital services.
SpaceX President and Chief Operating Officer Gwynne Shotwell said the partnership will allow easyJet passengers to remain connected throughout their journey. “Fast, reliable connectivity from takeoff to landing means people can work, stream, or stay in touch without interruption,” Shotwell said.
easyJet plans to begin Starlink installations in the first half of 2027 and complete the rollout by early 2028. The airline has not yet announced pricing or access terms for passengers.
