APEX Insight: In ten years, Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (BLR), which is managed by Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), has gone from handling 8.7 million passengers per year to an astonishing 30 million. It is currently undergoing a $2-billion expansion program.
During an interview with APEX Media director Maryann Simson at Aviation Festival in London, CEO of BIAL Hari Marar explains the steps BIAL is taking to accommodate this unforeseen growth. He says it is “not bricks, but bytes” which will be the foundation for improvement at BLR in the years to come.
