Aeroplay Entertainment Partners with Bilibili to Showcase Donghua Content

Share

Aeroplay Entertainment is now offering airline clients access to acclaimed Donghua (Chinese animation) titles as the result of a new partnership with Bilibili, China’s leading platform for animation, comics and games (ACG).

As part of the collaboration, Aeroplay has access to a handpicked selection of Bilibili’s animated content, which focuses on rich storytelling, stunning visuals and deep cultural narratives that still appeal to a global audience.

One such title is Link Click, which blends drama, fantasy and the supernatural. The series follows Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, who run a photo studio that allows them to go back in time for 12 hours to where their client’s photographs were taken to help them find something or change something they regret.

Another is 2023 series The Ravages of Time, a historical war epic wherein Lv Bu kidnaps the emperor during political turmoil in the Eastern Han Dynasty. The show follows allied forces as they try to defeat Lv Bu, rescue the emperor and restore order.

“We are excited to collaborate with Aeroplay to introduce Chinese animation to global travelers,” said a spokesperson from Bilibili’s International Content Team. “As global interest in Donghua continues to grow, this partnership is a significant step in showcasing the creativity and cultural richness of Chinese storytelling to a broader audience.”

Assistant General Manager of Content Acquisitions and Account Management at Aeroplay Entertainment Vishal Kanungo said, “Donghua is more than animation – it’s a vivid tapestry of culture, creativity, and imagination. Partnering with Bilibili allows us to bring these powerful stories to life at 30,000 feet, offering passengers a window into the richness of Chinese storytelling like never before.”

“This partnership reflects our mission to broaden cultural horizons and deliver premium, diverse entertainment experiences that resonate with today’s international traveler,” Kanungo continued.

Elsewhere, Aeroplay Entertainment’s parent company Maxpsoure Limited recently announced the acquisition of end-to-end immersive content creator Neutral Digital.
