Catching the Oscar nominees inflight is easy, many are playing on airline IFE screens right now. Read on to find out more.

Looking to catch up on the ten films nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards before the big show on March 12th? Well, you’re in luck.

Aside from James Cameron’s blockbuster Avatar sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water – which is still playing exclusively in theaters – the other nine films nominated for Best Picture are all currently available to rent, stream or purchase outright online, and many of this year’s most buzzed-about nominees are playing on airline IFE systems worldwide right now!

Here’s a quick rundown on where to watch them the next time you fly.

Best Picture Nominees:

Top Gun: Maverick

The high-flying sequel to Tom Cruise’s AV Geek classic, 1986’s Top Gun, Maverick isn’t just one of the biggest hits of Cruise’s already stellar career, but it’s also the first film to score him an Oscar nomination as a producer as well.

Nominated for six Academy Awards – including nods for Best Achievement in Editing, Best Sound, Best Original Song and Best Visual Effects, Maverick is currently helping passengers feel “the need for speed” on select Delta, Hawaiian, Emirates, and British Airways flights worldwide.

Everything Everywhere All at Once

The multiverse-hopping front runner heading into the show with a whopping 11 Oscar nominations – including acting nods for all four of the principal cast members, Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Stephanie Hsu and Jamie Lee Curtis – Everything is the sci-fi/action/family dramedy hybrid to beat this year.

Already making history as the highest grossing film in indie production company A24’s history with $107 Million (and counting!) Everything is currently playing on select Cathay Pacific and Philippine Airlines flights worldwide.

Triangle of Sadness

Featuring an extended, and nauseatingly hysterical, ode to sea sickness, Swedish writer-director Ruben Östlund’s pitch black social satire took home top honors at the Cannes Film Festival last May.

Nominated for three Academy Awards this year, including Best Director and Best Original Screenplay, Triangle is currently playing on Virgin Atlantic flights worldwide.

Elvis

Although Austin Butler’s lead performance as the King of rock ‘n’ roll has left audiences “All Shook Up” this award season, and looks to be a lock in the Best Acting category, Elvis is also nominated for seven additional Academy Awards – including Best Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Achievement in Costume Design and Best Sound.

Currently available to rent and/or stream pretty much everywhere online, Elvis is now playing on select Southwest Airlines, Air Tahiti Nui and Emirates flights worldwide.

The Banshees of Inisherin

Fresh off surprise wins in both supporting acting categories at the recent BAFTA awards, writer-director Martin McDonagh’s darkly funny parable about life on a small island in Ireland is nominated for nine Oscars this year — including Best Actor, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.

Banshees is now playing on select Iberia Airlines flights worldwide.

Other High Profile Nominees:

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Best Supporting Actress nominee, Angela Bassett, isn’t just the odds-on favorite to take home the gold this year, but Bassett’s historic nomination also marks the first Oscar nod for an actor in a Marvel film.

Nominated for four additional Academy Awards – including Best Achievement in Costume Design, Best Visual Effects and Best Original Song for Rhianna’s stirring “Lift Me Up,” Wakanda is now playing on select Hawaiian Airlines, American, United, and Emirates flights worldwide

To Leslie

Although To Leslie barely made a dent at the box office – with a $26,000 haul at the time the nominations were announced – Andrea Riseborough shocked the pundits this year with an upset nomination for Best Actress.

Oscar completists can check out Riseborough’s hard-hitting turn as a strung out single mother looking for redemption after winning (and promptly squandering) $190,000 in the lottery, on select Emirates and Virgin Atlantic flights.

Aftersun

Like Riseborough, indie stalwart Paul Mescal scored a surprise Best Actor nomination for his raw, heartbreaking turn as a troubled young father in UK writer-director Charlotte Wells’ feature debut, Aftersun

Frequent flyers looking for a good cry can check out Aftersun on select Jet Blue and United Airlines flights worldwide.

The 95th annual Academy Awards air live on ABC on Sunday, March 12, at 8 p.m. ET.
